Manchester City vs Juventus Highlights: UEFA Cup
Manchester City survived a late scare to collect a valuable point from a 1-1 draw in their high-profile Europa League clash with Juventus. Roberto Mancini’s men had run out of attacking ideas themselves when veteran forward Alessandro Del Piero strode up to fire a free-kick off the underside of Joe Hart’s crossbar.
Del Piero claimed the ball bounced in, but the merits of a goal-line assistant were plain to see as the official correctly ruled it had come down straight outside the goal-line.
It ensured parity for City against the team Mancini used to support as a six-year-old after Adam Johnson had levelled Vincenzo Iaquinta’s early opener before the break. City did not really deserve any more and Emmanuel Adebayor was particularly poor.
However, if they can come out with a win in back-to-back meetings with Polish champions Lech Poznan which now follow, the Blues should advance to the knock-out phase without too much trouble.

Juventus vs Bayern Munich Highlights: UEFA Champions League Highlights
Italian giants Juventus crashed out of the Champions League with a miserable performance in front of the home crowd as they capitulated to a rampant Bayern Munich.
Bayern goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt had little to do at his own end, but he leveled from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark after David Trezeguaet had given Juve an early lead against the run of play in Turin.
Ivica Olic then put Bayern ahead in the 51st minute, before Mario Gomez and substitute Anatoliy Tymoschuk scored to give the scoreline a one-sided look which did not flatter the visitors.
The win saw Bayern claim second place in Group A behind Bordeaux and a place in the last 16, while Juve, who were undefeated in the last 16 home European games until this evening, dropped into the Europa League.

Juventus vs Maccabi Haifa Highlights
Juventus defeated ten-man Maccabi Haifa 1-0 to earn their first win in Champions League Group A. Giorgio Chiellini’s header early in the second half was good enough to hand the Bianconeri all three points in Turin. The visitors were handed a major blow when midfielder Tiago Dutra was shown a straight red with 22 minutes remaining after a hard tackle on Chiellini. Despite having the numerical superiority, Juve failed to extend their lead as Maccabi went in search of the equalizer but the hosts held on for victory. The outcome leaves Juventus second in the standings, two points behind group leaders Bordeaux.
