Liverpool vs Arsenal Highlights: EPL Highlights
Jose Reina’s gifted a howler, which enabled Arsenal to snatch a draw from a thrilling Premier League opener at 10-man Liverpool.
The Liverpool goalkeeper failed to control the rebound after Marouane Chamakh had hit the post in the final minute at Anfield to cancel out a David Ngog strike.
The goal was reward for a late spell of Arsenal pressure but it was unfortunate for Liverpool, who had survived most of the second half unscathed after the sending off of Joe Cole.
The big name summer signing from Chelsea was dismissed on his league debut for a reckless challenge on Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
Koscielny himself also received a red card, but not until moments before the final whistle when he earned a harsh second booking for handball.
The equaliser denied Liverpool what would have been only their fourth victory over the Gunners in their last 19 league meetings. It remains to be seen how much the new wave of optimism which has swept into the club since Roy Hodgson was appointed as manager has been punctured due to this result.

Stoke City vs Liverpool Highlights: EPL (16.01.2009)
Rafael Benitez was denied a victory needed to lift the intense pressure on him when Stoke grabbed a last-ditch equalizer at the Britannia Stadium.
It was never pretty, but this much-denied Liverpool outfit stood up to be counted in a physical showdown.
And they went ahead when Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos scrambled home his first goal for the club early in the second period of a bitterly contested tie.
But Stoke’s relentless aerial assault produced an equalizer from Robert Huth in the 89th minute.
It was a terrible blow for a Liverpool side facing pressure from all ends, and they were even denied a winner in injury-time when Dirk Kuyt’s diving header hit a post.

Aston Villa vs Liverpool Highlights: EPL(29.12.09)
Liverpool star striker Fernando Torres scored an injury-time 50th Premier League goal, to make him the fastest player in the club’s history to reach that mark and give his side a Champions League lifeline with a 1-0 win against Aston Villa.
Reds’ goalkeeper Pepe Reina had been the hero after stopping Stewart Downing with a brilliant reflex stop and then Gabriel Agbonlahor saw his effort blocked by Reina’s legs. Both sides then had more good chances to break the deadlock, but Torres then latched onto a ball following a blunder from Stephen Warnock and drilled a low shot across Brad Friedel in the 93rd minute.
This victory means Rafael Benitez’s side are only two points behind Villa and three adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham in the race for European places.
