Wigan put their horrendous start to the Premier League behind them with a hard earned victory at Tottenham.

Hugo Rodallega scored the winner 10 minutes from full-time after Carlo Cudicini allowed the winger’s weak shot to squirm past him in what was the goalkeeper’s first match since his horrific motorcycle accident.

It was a remarkable result for a Latics side who had conceded 10 goals in their opening two League games and one less in the corresponding fixture last season.

It also questions Spurs boss Harry Redknapp’s claim he has enough dept in his squad for competing both domestically and in the Champions League.

England manager Fabio Capello took in Blackpool’s first Premier League game at Bloomfield Road and must have felt he the effect of this nail biting contest as Dickson Etuhu ended an exciting encounter with an 87th-minute equaliser for Fulham.

Bobby Zamora, who could be called up for England’s Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland, opened the scoring for Fulham before substituted with a knock in the second half.

Blackpool drew level in the 70th minute when Varney’s shot came off Aaron Hughes and back to Pantsil, who lost his nerves and diverted the ball past his own post.

When Blackpool took the lead in the 76th minute the home fans in the 15,529 crowd went into a frenzy.

Though Etuhu had the final laugh, Blackpool have begun their campaign in top flight with a heartening four points from three games.

Chelsea vs Stoke City Highlights: EPL highlights

It was not another goal feast at Stamford Bridge for a change but Florent Malouda and Didier Drogba still came up with two vital strikes to keep Chelsea’s unbeaten record and clean sheet intact at the top of the Premier League.

Malouda expertly converted a first-half opportunity with his right foot against a much stronger Stoke side than the Tony Pulis team who surrendered seven at the Bridge back in April.

Drogba all but killed the tie with a second-half penalty after Thomas Sorensen had brought down Nicolas Anelka.

Chelsea fans would not even recollect Frank Lampard missing the tamest of first-half penalties.

Blackburn Rovers vs Arsenal Highlights: EPL Highlights

Theo Walcott and Andrei Arshavin ensured Arsenal to a 2-1 victory over battling Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Walcott fired a stunning 19th minute opener as the Gunners worked hard for the points. He was sent scampering clear down the right flank by a fine ball from Robin van Persie before cutting inside and ramming a low shot past Paul Robinson. El-Hadji Diouf mounted a swift counter attack where he cut inside the hapless Laurent Koscielny and squared for Mame Diouf to sweep home the equaliser.

Rovers Lived up to to Wenger’s Pre-match remarks and made life hard for Arsene Wenger’s men before Arshavin won it for the visitors in the 51st minute.
