Chelsea vs Blackburn Rovers Highlights: English Premier League
Chelsea gave coach Carlo Ancelotti a perfect tonic as they soared back to the top of the Premier League with a 5-0 demolition of Blackburn at Stamford Bridge. Ancelotti, who was back in the dugout after visiting his seriously ill father in Italy in midweek, watched his side produce a dominant performance against ragged Rovers to go two points clear at the summit until tomo when Man united face Liverpool
Chelsea’s demolition of Sam Allardyce’s side was lead by Fran Lampard with two goals, one a penalty, plus others from Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and an own goal from Gael Givet. The game was so one-sided that if Chelsea taken all their first half chances, the scoreline could have been in double figures. But four goals in a 15-minute second half spell handed Rovers their biggest defeat since Allardyce took charge at Ewood Park and kept Ancelotti’s unbeaten home record intact.

Wolves vs Aston Villa Highlights: EPL Highlights
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored his first goal of the season to rescue a much deserved point for Wolves and deal a blow to Aston Villa’s European hopes. Gabriel Agbonlahor maintained his hot scoring streak by netting for the sixth time in eight games to put Villa into the lead with 10 minutes remaining.
But three minutes later Ebanks-Blake levelled from the penalty spot after Villa midfielder Steve Sidwell had fouled on Michael Kightly. It was no more than Wolves deserved after a committed and battling performance although they were under the cosh for the majority of the second period.
The Wolves restricted the visitors to only a handful of clear-cut chances with Jody Craddock impressing at the heart of their defence. Villa looked only a shadow of the side which had secured seven points from three meetings with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea in recent weeks.
Todays match will be of concern to manager Martin O’Neill that they have in contrast dropped points against the likes of Wigan, Blackburn and now their struggling midlands rivals.

CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United Highlights: UEFA Champions League
Antonio Valencia struck a late winner as Manchester United maintained their unbeaten streak in Champions League Group B at the expense of CSKA Moscow.
Chances were rare to come on the artificial surface at Luzhniki Stadium but United finished strongly.
Valencia, who celebrated his first United goal last weekend, doubled his tally for the club five minutes from time, moments after rattling the wood-work with a fierce drive.
Nani had earlier gone close with a firm header from a Gary Neville cross while a bouncing 35-yard effort from Paul Scholes in the first half forced CSKA stopper Igor Akinfeev to save.
United, who are now well on course for a berth in the knockout stages, can now look forward to Sunday’s Premier League trip to troubled rivals Liverpool in high spirits.
With Anfield in mind, Sir Alex made five changes from the side victorious over Bolton last time out.
Nemanja Vidic returned to the heart of defence while John O’Shea and Scholes were included in central midfield. Nani and Fabio also came in on the left and struck a good attacking partnership on a flank that proved United’s most productive route forward.

Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid Highlights: UEFA Champions League
Chelsea put themselves on the brink of qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a comfortable victory over Spanish side Atletico Madrid. A goal in each half from Ivory Coast international Salomon Kalou, a fine drive from Frank Lampard and an own goal from Luis Perea helped Chelsea maintain their undefeated run in Europe.
They now have nine points from three games and they are yet to concede a goal in Europe this season. The defensive frailties which have caused their last two away defeats in the Barclays Premier League were not evident against Atletico.
