Manchester United vs Portsmouth Highlights: EPL highlights
Paul Scholes marked his 600th Manchester United appearance in trademark fashion, feeding the killer through ball that could eventually seal an 18th league championship for the Red Devils in a 2-0 win against Portsmouth.
Chelsea’s draw against Everton at Stamford Bridge leaves Liverpool as United’s only realistic title rivals. And goals from Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick mean Sir Alex Ferguson’s men are now three points clear of their tittle rivals, with a game in hand.
It would be Scholes’ ninth title medal. He deserves it for the sublime defense-splitting pass that set up Carrick seven minutes from time after United had failed to capitalize on Rooney’s early goal.
The result left Pompey dangling precariously six points above the drop zone, facing a crucial trip to Newcastle on Monday.
There were some injury concerns for Red Devil’s with skipper Neville and O’shea both limping off the field.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Highlights: EPL Highlights
Four goals from Andrey Arshavin proved to be a huge blow to Liverpool’s Barclays Premier League title hopes as Arsenal drew 4-4 at Anfield.
The hosts are now ahead of Manchester United on goal difference having come from behind three times, starting with Arshavin’s first in the 36th minute.
Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun scored soon after the interval but three further goals from the Russian Gunner piled the pressure back on Rafael Benitez’s side and even a second from Torres and an injury-time equalizer from Benayoun were not enough to secure all three vital points, as Arsenal continued their unbeaten run.
The result hands a huge advantage to United, who have two matches in hand with the first tomorrow at home against Portsmouth.
Liverpool were responsible for their own downfall as the first three Arsenal goals came from mistakes.
It was almost a carbon copy of their Champions League exit against Chelsea a week ago when a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge saw them miss out on the last four.

Manchester United vs Everton Highlights : FA Cup Semi Finals
Fromer United keeper Tim Howard emerged an FA Cup spot-kick hero to wreck United’s quintuple bid and send Everton to their first final since 1995 following a 4-2 penalty shootout win.
After a goalless and frankly rather uneventful two hours, Howard saved a woeful penalty from Manchester United record signing Dimitar Berbatov and another from Rio Ferdinand to send the Toffeemen into ecstasy.
It also ended Sir Alex Ferguson’s 100% record in last four clashes, although the Scot must have known such a scenario was a realistic possibility given his team selection.
It had become common knowledge that Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Edwin van der Sar had not even made the trip, while Ryan Giggs was down on most people’s lists of the men to be left out as well.
Nevertheless, when the teams were announced the actual make-up of United’s team surprised everyone.
Federico Macheda, super sub in his two match winning substitute appearances against Aston Villa and Sunderland, was handed his first start, Fabio da Silva his second.
Darron Gibson and Danny Welbeck made their first appearances since the Carling Cup final victory over Tottenham in the same stadium seven weeks ago, while Rafael da Silva and Anderson were also included in what must have been one of the youngest teams Ferguson has ever selected.
The Everton fans knew there could be no better chance to reach the final they crave so much.

Arsenal vs Chelsea Highlights: FA Cup Semi Final
Poland international Lukasz Fabianski had a forgetful birthday as his error gifted Chelsea a 2-1 victory in their FA Cup semi-final defeat of Arsenal at Wembley.
Theo Walcott put the Gunners ahead after 18 minutes when his volley took a deflection off Ashley Cole’s hand and beat Petr Cech.
Chelsea fought back and leveled through Florent Malouda, and sealed a return to Wembley when Didier Drogba latched on to a long ball ahead of the on-rushing Fabianski, and slotted into a ungaurded net six minutes from time.
Although Andrey Arshavin went close in stoppage time, there was no way back for the young Gunners, allowing Chelsea to claim capital dominance, while also quietly keeping them on track for the Treble.
And, as almost a side issue, there is bound to be a more reasons for Guus Hiddink to stay on as manager beyond next month, although it had not looked too good for the Dutchman earlier on.
