Wolfsburg moved to the top of the Bundesliga table in sensational style with a crushing victory over defending champions Bayern Munich.

Christian Gentner put the home side ahead in the 44th minute, but Luca Toni equalized within 60 seconds.

Two goals in just three minutes from Edin Dzeko put Wolfsburg in the driving seat before a further two in three minutes from Grafite earned Felix Magath’s side their eighth consecutive league victory and took them three points ahead of their opponents at the top of the table.

Bayern Munich will have to forget this defeat and regain confidence before they travel to face Barcelona in the Champions League.
