Liverpool Fc – New Hillsborough Song : ‘Fields of Anfield Road’ Video

It was on April 15, 1989, that 96 Liverpool fans were crushed to death in a fenced-in standing area of the Sheffield stadium where Liverpool was playing Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semifinals.

As a tribute to the deceased Liverpool has never played a match since on the Hillsborough anniversary.

Watch this new music video recorded to raise awareness of the Hillsborough disaster – and starring ex-Reds Kenny Dalglish, John Aldridge, Phil Thompson, Bruce Grobbelaar and Alan Kennedy. Also featuring local bands and members of the Hillsborough Families Support Group, this newly created version of Kop favourite ‘Fields of Anfield Road’ – which includes an extra verse penned by LFC TV regular and Farm frontman Peter Hooton in tribute to the 96 – has been produced in remembrance of those who lost their lives at Hillsborough.
