Spain secured a well deserved victory over the world champions Italy at the Ernst-Happel Stadium through penalties. Spain broke a 22 year old jinx to get past Italy in the last quarter final of Euro 2008 and will face surprise package Russia on Thursday in Vienna. Casills was the hero tonight, who saved two penalties.

Spain are the only team which are unbeaten in the tournament so far and will look to carry on like this and get past adamant Russia.
