Zenit St Petersburg will fancy their chances of making it into the final of UEFA Cup after they secured a away goal advantage against Bayern. Bayern took the lead intially through Ribery, Ze Roberto was brought down by Fernando Ricksen and the refree awarded the penalty. Ribery’s effort was poor and blocked by Viatcheslav Malafeev, but Ribery was quick to react and scored from the rebound.

The away side were making dangerous runs down Bayern’s goal and scored the equaliser in an unusual manner. Viktor Faitzulin received the ball inside Bayern’s area and he sent a cross which was banged beyond the perplexed Kahn by the home side defender Ferreira Lucio. He reminded me of Riise in the Liverpool vs Chelsea fixture, the final score was also the same 1-1.
